We’re guilty, yes, here at Results Magnet, we’ve bitten the bullet and have allowed you all to believe digital advertising is a magic bullet. Well...it i,s but the little secret is that even magic takes time. For example, when we work with a client we let them know up front that from idea to integration, it’s normally a 10 business day process for us to begin their campaign in full. However, when compared to not doing digital or doing it improperly, two weeks is a breeze.
Then once the campaign is live, it takes a few weeks, mainly six to eight, to really get a feel for what truly is working and what isn’t being best optimized in a campaign. The nice thing about this process is that you’re still getting inbounds and traffic. It’s just taking the digital wizardry time to see what sticks and what doesn’t. It is a fun time for us because the nerdy work and analytics really come to life.

Today, we spoke with a partner of ours when we had a very exciting chat about physical commerce vs digital commerce. What came to mind was how much money I now spend on Amazon compared to The Dollar Tree. I could put the annual totals next to each other and Amazon will beat them out ever time these days but that wasn’t always the case.
Essentially, what we concluded was that in many cases these days, a virtual doorway can be more valuable to a business in terms of revenue than a nice or even a real door with a physical location. Meaning...let’s say you’re an accountant with an office but with nothing online. You're supplanting your firm on the likelihood of growing primarily through word of mouth or just drive by’s.
On the other hand, if instead of spending thousands of dollars monthly to have an accounting office, you spend it on ads to be number one on Google, you’d now have a substantial pipeline of business that far exceeds the business growth value of having a costly office.
